Toth Zoltan

Toth Zoltan, a Budapest-based cinematographer, has always viewed filmmaking as a childhood dream. Since recording his sister’s kindergarten graduation with the family’s VHS camera, he has seen the device as a tool of magic. For him, framing a picture to match a concept and manipulating the audience’s emotions through lights, close-ups, wide shots, colors, and movements is an incomparable feeling.

Toth has worked on international productions such as The Continental and the Dune series, as well as Hungarian TV shows as a camera technician. However, his true passion lies in short films. He enjoys the challenge of consistently showcasing new motion picture elements within the brief 20-30 minute format.

He is particularly excited about the transition from pre-production to actual shooting, meeting the crew and actors, and watching the conception come to life.
